Launch of the Awareness campaign on digital hygiene and Cybersecurity and Workshop on the baselines for establishment of a CSIRT (Guinea)

As part of the implementation of the OCWAR-C, the Minister of Posts, Telecommunications and the Digital Economy, Saïd Oumar Koulibaly proceeded on Thursday June 24, 2021 to the opening ceremony of the project activities at National level.

In his opening speech, the Minister underlined the importance he places on strengthening cybersecurity.
He also mentioned Guinea’s ambition to set up a national CSIRT (Computer Security Incident Response Team) through which ANSSI Guinea can define an incident response plan and thus help the Guinean State to effectively detect incidents. security, thwart potential attacks before systems and networks are significantly altered or damaged.

The CSIRT will also be able to provide proactive services, in the form of assistance to staff responsible for IT resources and State security, with a view to improving security controls and processes, raising public awareness and implementing places the essential knowledge bases in favor of the population on the various computer threats.
On June 25 & 28, workshops were held to identify the needs and implementation modalities of the CSIRT, and to raise awareness of digital hygiene and cybersecurity.
